1. Who We Are
ApplyBetter (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website careerboost.nanocorp.app. We provide AI-powered CV analysis and professional career document writing services.

2. Data We Collect
a) CV / Resume text (free audit)
When you use the free CV audit, your CV text is sent to our AI model for analysis and the result is returned to your browser. This text is not saved or logged on our servers or by any third-party service we use for the audit.
b) Email address (paid orders)
When you purchase a paid service, Stripe collects your email address and payment details. We receive your email address from Stripe via a secure webhook so we can deliver your order. We do not store your full card details.
c) CV / Resume text (paid orders)
After purchase you email your CV to us directly for writing or optimization. We retain this only for the time needed to complete and deliver your order, and for up to 30 days afterwards for revision requests. It is then securely deleted.
d) Usage analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymised page-view and click data to understand how the site is used. No personal identifiers are linked to this data. PostHog is configured to respect Do Not Track signals.
e) Payment data
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc.We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank details. Stripe’s privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To deliver the CV audit result in real time (no storage).
- To fulfil paid orders — rewriting your CV, LinkedIn profile, or cover letter.
- To send you order confirmation and delivery emails.
- To improve site performance and user experience via anonymised analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & Beyond)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@applybetter.com with the subject line “Data Request”. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Right to Deletion
You may request deletion of all personal data we hold about you at any time. Send an email to privacy@applybetter.com with the subject line “Delete My Data” and include the email address associated with your order. We will confirm deletion within 14 days.
Note: We are required to retain transaction records for accounting and legal purposes for up to 7 years. These records do not include your CV text.
7. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies required for site operation, plus anonymised analytics cookies via PostHog. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
